Who Am I?
Hey I’m Chris (Christian) that’s me above cycling in the Italian Alps with a local group who get together a few times per year.
As you have probably guessed, I absolutely LOVE cycling of any sort. Having been on a bike since the age of seven I have taken part in triathlons, down hill mountain biking events, sprint races and also the casual ride around the park with the family.
There is something freeing about being out there on the open road with just you, two wheels and your leg power to get you where you want to go. Quite often I find myself wandering for ours, taking in the beautiful landscapes we have in the US.
In my circle of friends and work buddies, I’m know as the ‘go-to guy’ when it comes to anything bike related, and I found the I was constantly being asked the same questions over and over by those looking to get started with cycling.
So, I set up this site to help beginners and novices alike, to teach you what you need to now about the bikes, the gear, trip planning and how to get the most out of cycling. Much of the content is catered to beginners, from choosing your first starter bike, to picking the right shoes and helmet.
Even if it’s simply to commute to work, there are still a ton of options out there and I’ve been around cycling long enough to know a good deal from a bad one.
You can use the navigation at the top of this page to jump to the category that most interests you, be it road bikes, mountain biking or even hybrids to get the best of both worlds and to really expand your options.
